Day 3
The next 3 days will be here. So this page will grow.
6am our time 7pm Pacific on our 2nd Full day out. Swells still 4.5 to 7' white caps. If anything like last time? It should start to mellow out after today. We at least seen stars early this morning. Sunrise shows dark fluffy clouds moving quickly. Have had some rain. We can hear the water sloshing in the Terrace pool above us from the waves. It really doesn't bother you, in fact it took us a bit to figure out what it was.
Wind 28.8 k across the ship.
736 miles from LA 1406 miles to go to Hilo.
Seen they have Wii Bowling & Tennis. Oh man, I wish they had golf. LOL
Seen the bar boys doing tricks and stuff while making Martini's. Photos will be below later. But they were a bit blurry.
Went down and did the Future Cruise Credits.
Tonight is formal night. May not do a whole lot today. Get more pictures around the ship tomorrow when the seas calm. So a slide show may not be posted here for a day or two. Food is very good and so far have only eating in our room. And why not. : )
Day 4
More than half way there. 1184 miles traveled from LA. 957 miles to Hilo. Over night it appears the seas are starting to calm. 1.5 to 4' swells. Traveling at 19 knots. Weather is still cloudy off and on. But more cloudy than sunny as of now.
Went walking around and seen some Ice carvings. Really? The same as in 2007. Also seen Elua. They were on the cruise in 2007 and are great to listen to. Water has turned VERY blue and you can tell we are getting close to the islands. Temp going up. But still not a lot of sun.
Day 5 (or 4th full day @ sea)
24 hours till we arrive in Hilo. Water smoothed WAY out. Finally. Great sunrise but will post on Hilo's page. That wont happen till maybe late Friday. Weather getting warmer (75+) and small swells. Went from traveling at 20 knots to 17 & 18. It is up to the computers and they slow or speed up the ship so as you get to the port at the exact time.
Have traveled 1723 miles from LA and 419 left to go to Hilo.
Going to hang out and get all the cameras ready for tomorrow. Along with nav system, backpack loaded and all. By the time we get the car, we wont have a lot of time to do what we want to see, so we will figure out priorities on what we really want to see. Gota turn in Deb's earrings at Maui Divers to be repaired then get Cas some Big Island candy. : ) Note to self. You can NOT be late back to the ship. LOL
