Nascar Weekend @

Las Vegas Motor Speedway

2004 & 2006

We came to Las Vegas on 3-4-04. We were able to get a spot on Motorhome Hill. You can see the whole track from the coach. We had an end space so it was GREAT!

This was the view from in front of the coach.

Dusk on the night we arrived.

This was the other Motorhome Hill across from us.

It is a BIT higher but ours was juuuuust fine.

We cheer for Harvick and Jr. This was Harvick winning the Bush race.

This guy came tooling around the track. The little car was HOT!!

The Thunderbirds flew over before the Cup race. A bit blurry but, umm THEY WERE KICKING IT!!

Deb before the race. We had the TV there and behind me was the table and scanners that we were hooked to. Was great because 1: they protected our ears and 2: we could talk to each other.

AND THEY ARE OFF!!!!

Our boys didn't do to well in the Cup race. Jr. had major problems and Harvick ran out of fuel on the last couple laps.

But it was a blast.

2006

We have had the same spot now for 2 years.

You just can't beat the view and all the comforts of home.

Wild weather the whole weekend.  Cold, windy and even snow on Friday during qualifying.

Hornet landing at the base behind the track.

Some GREAT neighbors we have on Motorhome Hill

Jack and his buddy below.  Then Jim and Phyllis and company below that.

Bush Race.  Below is Tony driving the Harvick owned car.  This week was sponsored by Old Spice.  A gorgeous car under the lights.

Then Kevin driving the RCR Coast Guard ride.

Kasey Kahne won the Bush Race.

The Cup Race...

Dale Jarrett waving to us up on the hill.  Well, maybe not US.

Tony and the Biff side by side..

Dale Jr. did better than last year where he crashed in turn 2 but still only finished 27th.

Truex Jr. in his 1st full year of cup finished the race 20th and is one of the 3 drivers we cheer for.  Harvick, Dale Jr. & Truex Jr.

Johnson won the Cup race btw.

Great week and can't wait for next year where they are changing the banking of the track to 20+ degrees.  Also making it more fan friendly over the garages.
